Software Management

Get oriented to the course and your learning journey. Learn what technology change management is, why people and processes are central to successful software adoption, and how each stage of the course builds toward preparing, communicating, training, launching, and supporting your team through a software change.

How to Navigate this Course

Introduction

Build your understanding of technology change management through connected learning activities. Explore how people experience change, why software changes can succeed or stall, and how communication, training, leadership, and support influence adoption. Then examine stakeholder needs, organizational readiness, resistance, champions, and different ways people may respond to a new system.

Learn

Build your confidence by working hands-on with technology change management activities. Map stakeholders, identify how a software change affects different roles, create targeted communication messages, design a role-based training approach, and work through realistic resistance and adoption scenarios. Practice responding to common challenges in a safe environment so you can become more comfortable supporting people through change.

Practice

Put your technology change management knowledge into practice. Assess your organization's readiness for a software change and identify how the change will affect teams, roles, workflows, and responsibilities. Then create a practical change plan covering stakeholders, champions, communication, training, responsibilities, timeline, risks, and readiness. Prepare for launch by planning support, adoption measures, feedback, and reinforcement strategies that help new tools become part of everyday work.

Technology change management is the people side of new software: preparing your team, communicating clearly, training well, and supporting people until new tools become part of everyday work.

Technology Change Management Fundamentals gives business professionals a practical foundation for leading people through software changes, from the first announcement through training, launch, and lasting adoption.

Learn why technology changes succeed or stall, practice planning communication and training, and build the knowledge to guide your team through the next software change with confidence.

The course is organized into three major sections: Learn, Practice, and Apply. Each section builds on the one before it, taking you from understanding technology change to practicing hands-on and applying what you learn to a real change plan for your organization.
